Pista Rasmalai in Urdu

Sweet dishes are considered as the most important and delighted dessert of a dinner or lunch in the tradition of many communities. “Rasmalai” is preferred mostly among all other sweet dishes.   1. (For cheese)
  2. Full cream milk 2 Liters or 10 cups
  3. Lemon juice 15ml or 1 table spoon
  4. (For balls)
  5. Flour 20g or 4 tea spoons
  6. Water 800ml or 4 cups
  7. Baking powder 3 to 4 grams or ¾ tea spoons
  8. Sugar 900g or 4.5 cups
  9. (For rabri)
  10. Milk 500ml or 2.5 cups
  11. Pistachio 25g or 5 tea spoons (peeled and chopped)
  12. Sugar 100g or ½ cup
  13. Saffron 2g or ¼ tea spoons (mixed in 15ml milk)


(For chickpeas)
Boil the milk in a pan and then let it cool down for 3 minutes. Now add the lemon juice to bring it in the form of granular. Then filter the milk for 30 minutes to extract the thin liquid. The remaining thick liquid will be called cheese. Put that cheese in a bowl and mix it well to bring it in a creamy form. Now mix the flour and baking powder along with the cheese. Then make 20 balls (a little flat) from it. On the other hand, put the 900g sugar in 4 cups of water and cook it until it become in a little thick liquid shape. Now add the cheese balls in it and boil them on low flame until they become double in size. Then take them out and leave as they are for 3 to 4 minutes.
Boil the milk enough, until it left half in volume. Now mix the sugar in it and place it in the refrigerator. Then spread this cold “rabri” on the balls. Cool them for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Now pour the pistachios and saffron on them. The dish is ready for 4 to 5 people. Its Preparation and cooking time is 45 minutes.
